Perspectives 2008 Workshop Descriptions

Owner/CEO Track

Project Management and the Small Business
Most small businesses are terrific at their core competency—doing whatever it is they do as an organization. Unfortunately, many of these same businesses are terrible at doing the outliers, the stuff that is not in their core competency, this is where the discipline of project management comes into play; however most project management classes are directed at large corporations doing large projects. Scalability is often difficult to achieve. At this session, you will be exposed to several overarching concepts for managing projects in the small business environment.
